Important Notes

  • Requires BlackBerry OS 4.2.1 - 5.0 (smartphone models with a trackwheel are NOT supported)
  • For upgrade instructions see “How to upgrade to the latest release
  • This release is free for purchasers of previous versions

This release contains a fix for a bug introduced in BizTrackIt 2.3. We recommend BizTrackIt 2.3 users upgrade to this release.

Fix: Desktop Manager backup & restore of duration only time records did not work properly. Duration only time records were erroneously restored as In/Out time records. The Duration for each such In/Out time record was correct, but the In time was displayed as the start of day and the Out time was displayed as In time + duration when they should have not been displayed nor included in time record reports.

BizTrackIt Report Synchronization Desktop Manager Add-In 2.3.0 Released

Install Link

Desktop Manager Add-In Windows Install Package

Requirements

  • BizTrackIt 1.7 or higher installed on your BlackBerry
  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.x or 4.x installed on your PC

For instructions on how to install and use BizTrackItSyncAddIn see “BizTrackIt reports using Desktop Manager synchronization”.

This release implements a workaround to a bug in recent versions of Desktop Manager, including the most current version of 5.0.1.28 (at time of publication of this post). If you hit this bug when running a previous version of this add-in then the following exception message will be displayed during synchronization and the report will fail or be incomplete:

BizTrackIt Add-In 1.7.1.0
Exception: Unspecified error

A side effect of this workaround is if you hit the Desktop Manager bug then subsequent BizTrackIt add-in progress messages (e.g. Writing record 10 of 20) will not be shown in the synchronization progress bar even though the report creation process is progressing properly. In case of a real error (e.g. out of disk space) a proper error message will be displayed.

This bug has been reported to and acknowledged by RIM.
